Please read this carefully. By using or submitting an order (and any subsequent orders) on this web site you are agreeing to the terms that appear below. For all orders placed on www.thebeautystore.com, The Beauty Store is legally responsible for the fulfillment of these orders under the following terms and conditions.

These Terms and Conditions were most recently updated on 20th November 2019 13:28:25 and apply to sales to consumers.

1. Purchase Contract

1.1   This website is operated by The Beauty Store (“we”, “us” or “our”), The Beauty Store is a trading name of The Beauty Store London Ltd. By using the thebeautystore.com website you are bound by these terms and conditions. All use and purchases made on this website are governed by these Terms and Conditions at any time although the Terms and Conditions governing any given use or purchase will be those in effect at the date of your order or specific use. If you use or order goods after we have published any changes you will be bound by those changes. Accordingly, you should check prior to each use or order to ensure that you understand the precise terms and conditions applicable to your site visit or purchase. To assist you in determining whether the Terms and Conditions have changed since your most recent order we will display the date when these Terms and Conditions were most recently updated.

1.2 We sell goods only to end-users.

1.3 We will confirm acceptance of your order via an automated e-mail. At the point of acceptance the purchase contract will be made and we will supply the goods to you in accordance with your order and these Terms and Conditions.

1.4 All stock and prices are subject to availability.

1.5 All pictures shown are for illustration purpose only. The actual product may vary.

1.6 All prices are in UK Pounds sterling and include VAT. Prices displayed in US Dollars and Euros are converted from our UK Pounds sterling price at the latest exchange rates provided by Yahoo Finance! All orders shipped to addresses located outside the United Kingdom will have VAT excluded from the order.

1.7 Please check your order details carefully before submitting your order as changes cannot be made to your order once it has been placed and The Beauty Store will not grant compensation in any form for inconvenience experienced as a result.

1.8 Only one promotion code or gift voucher code, regardless of its origin, can be redeemed against any one order.

1.9 Promotions from any European or USA The Beauty Store websites do not apply to any UK site sales.

1.10 Please note special offer prices are only valid if the item is purchased at the offer price.

1.11 The Beauty Store will not offer a refund for items bought at a higher price when it is not on special offer at the time of purchase.

1.12 All complaints will be acknowledged within 7 working days, although we try to acknowledge all complaints immediately. The customer will be informed of all progress.

1.13 According to the Data Protection Act 1988 we do not supply any of your details to a third party, unless you have given The Beauty Store express permission to do so.

1.14 Orders may be subject to extra security checks at our discretion. This may include confirmation of Credit/Debit card details and full address details.

1.15 The Beauty Store reserves the right to cancel any orders if this information cannot be supplied. In some circumstances, postage prices quoted on the website may not be sufficient to cover actual postage costs. If this is the case, The Beauty Store reserve the right to request payment of the price difference in the postage costs prior to fulfilling and dispatching the order.

1.16 The Beauty Store reserves the right to deliver certain orders to the Billing Address only. Customers will be notified by e-mail if this is the case. If The Beauty Store has insufficient stock to deliver the goods ordered by you, we will notify you as soon as possible to either offer an alternative item (to the same value) or we will credit your card for the cost of the unavailable goods. The Beauty Store will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.

2. Price & Delivery Charges

2.1 The price of goods will be as quoted on the website at the time you confirm your order (usually by clicking the “checkout” button) subject only to any inadvertent technical error for which we will not be liable. If you subsequently amend your order to add items, the prices charged for new products which were not in your original order will be the prices quoted at the time you confirm your amended order. However, if you add more of the same items which were in your original order, then the prices charged for these items will be the prices quoted at the time you confirmed your original order. Where a substitute item is offered in place of an item ordered, the price charged for that substitute item (if accepted) will be the price applicable at the time the item is substituted. Please note that as promotions are offered for a limited period of time subsequent amendments to your order may mean that certain promotions are no longer being offered.

2.2 The prices stated on the website will be inclusive of any VAT payable.

2.3 Each order you make may include a charge for delivery. If your delivery is subject to a delivery charge, it will be shown to you as a separate charge on the delivery confirmation page before you confirm your order. Any delivery charge added to your order will be dependent upon the value of your order.

3. Methods of Payment

3.1 Payment may be made by paypal, amazon pay, klarna pay, debit, credit or charge card and some business account cards. No vouchers or “money off” coupons will be accepted towards payment of an order. You cannot pay for your order by cash or cheque.

3.2 The debit, credit and charge cards accepted by us are those listed on the web site on the date on which your order is placed.

3.3 All card transactions are dealt with by sage pay, amazon pay, klarna pay and paypal and as such are protected by 3D secure.

3.4 We reserve the right to terminate our agreement with you if we are refused authority for payment or reasonably believe that payment will be refused at any stage.

3.5 In cooperation with Klarna Bank AB (publ), Sveavägen 46, 111 34 Stockholm, Sweden, we offer you the following payment options. Payment is to be made to Klarna:

  • Pay later.
  • Slice it.

4. Delivery

4.1 We’ll rush your order to you as soon as we can – we know you’ll be dying to get your hands on it!

4.2 Please create an account on the The Beauty Store website before beginning your order as this will allow you to track your delivery online.

4.3 All UK orders are shipped via Yodel, DPD, Royal Mail or DHL.

4.4 Delivery is charged at the rate provided at the time of checkout. Please check the estimated rate at the time of checkout for the most accurate delivery rates.

4.5 Estimated delivery time depends on the method chosen, for example Express Delivery is 1-2 days and for Standard Delivery 3-5 days. Please check the delivery estimate at the checkout for the most accurate estimated delivery times.

4.6 Orders made on weekends or UK bank holidays will be delayed by 1-2 extra days and your order will be shipped on the next available business day.

4.7 Once your order has been dispatched you will receive an automatic shipping email with further details. Registered customers can monitor the status of their order in the My Account section of this website.

4.8 For freight and wholesale orders please contact us directly. We reserve the right to re-quote delivery charges for orders that are very large.

5.Defective Goods

5.1 We guarantee the quality of our goods. You must inspect the goods and notify us promptly in writing, by phoning or by using the online refund service on the website of any dissatisfaction with your order. We will promptly and fully refund the price of any goods that do not meet with your reasonable satisfaction or arrange for the delivery of replacement goods, provided that you notify us within 60 days of delivery of the goods. We will arrange with you for the goods to be returned to us.

5.2 Subject to clause 6.1 below, we will not accept any further claims for loss from or in connection with the supply of faulty goods, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, howsoever arising.

6. Warranty & Liability

6.1 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will restrict our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, breach of contract or breach of statutory duty, nor will any of these terms restrict any of your statutory rights. For further information about your statutory rights, contact your local authority Trading Standards Department or Citizen’s Advice Bureau.

6.2 In addition to paragraph 4, we will not be deemed to be in breach of contract or of these Terms and Conditions as a result of any delay in our performance or failure to perform our obligations if that delay or failure to perform is due to any cause or circumstance beyond our reasonable control including, but not limited to, fire, flood and other acts of God, strikes, riot, accident, disruption to energy supplies, civil commotion, acts of terrorism or war, breakdown of equipment, road traffic problems.

7. Security & Privacy

7.1 As a company that does business purely over the internet, we understand the importance of security. That’s why we have a number of highly secure systems in place to give you confidence when paying by card, as well as when you give us personal information, such as your address or telephone number. We use Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt your details whilst they travel from your computer to our system. This ensures your payment card and personal details are kept private except where we have advised you otherwise in our terms and conditions. We will not store your payment card details.

7.2 Nothing in these Terms and Conditions will restrict our liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, breach of contract or breach of statutory duty, nor will any of these terms restrict any of your statutory rights. 9. Special Offers, Promotions & Competitions

9.1 From time to time, and in our complete discretion, purchases of goods may be subject to special offers. In the event that such a special offer applies to your purchase, the terms of such special offer shall be subject to these Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict between the terms of a special offer and these Terms and Conditions, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail unless specifically excluded.

9.2 We may change the terms of special offers, or withdraw them altogether, at any time and without prior notice. Subject to clauses 2.1(a) and 4, we will honour at the offer price any order placed by you before an offer ends, or is amended or withdrawn.

9.3 We reserve the right to offer in our complete discretion different customers different special offers, promotions and the ability to enter different competitions.

10. General

10.1 If any of these Terms and Conditions is held by any court of competent authority to be unlawful, invalid or unenforceable, in whole or in part, this will not affect the validity of the remaining Terms and Conditions which will continue to be valid and enforceable to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10.2 All copyright, trademarks and all other intellectual property rights in all material or content supplied as part of this website shall remain at all times vested in us or our licensors. You are permitted to use the material data and content only for your personal use in placing orders through thebeautystore.com, and you may not otherwise copy, reproduce, transmit, publish, display, distribute, commercially exploit, use or create derivative works of any material data and content on the thebeautystore.com website without The Beauty Store prior written permission. The Beauty Store may impose a fee on any proposed use of the material data and content contained on its website, other than for placing orders through the thebeautystore.com website.

10.3 These Terms and Conditions will be governed by English law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in relation to any dispute which may arise between them.
